Here's my September so far, the gold stars showing days I've written 300 words or more on my dissertation. Earning gold stars is addictive—or is it the Ritalin? I was able to get a refill of my prescription early and have been taking 15 mg/day. That's still not very much, but it's more than the 5 mg I was taking per day before, and I think I feel more alert. I think so. But then, I am tremendously susceptible to the placebo effect.
As you can tell, Ritalin is not preventing me from indulging in time-wasting activities like blogging.
