I wish I could say that all these stars mean I got a ton of writing done this month, but chapter 3 still holds at a measly 22.5 pages. But I was much more disciplined about spending at least SOME time almost every day on it, even if only a half hour of reading a secondary source. I have a new schedule at work that helps some—I work 10 to 5, with the understanding that 8 to 10 a.m. is "dissertation time." Sometimes that even happens.
I'm not going to wait until the end of the month to post this, because the month is effectively over, dissertation-wise. I'm helping organize a conference that starts Thursday, which will any minute now commence to obliterate all possible dissertation time until it's over on April 5. Though I hope and expect many dissertation-insights to come out of the conference! That counts, right?
Meanwhile, I'm at the library working this afternoon, and—though you can't tell from my crappy camera-phone picture—some kind of icky snow-rain-slush is falling outside. Thanks, Iowa, for making me not have to feel bad about being in my study carrel during a beautiful spring day.
